The definition of Naturism that is recognised by Naturist organisations worldwide is:
Naturism is a way of life in harmony with nature characterised by the practice of communal nudity with the intention of encouraging self-respect, respect for others and for the environment.
Essentially, Naturists are just ordinary people from all walks of life who enjoy spending time clothes-free with other people in a non-sexual context because they find it promotes feelings of equality, trust and a sense of personal and social well-being.
You can find out much more about what Naturism is on our FAQs page and on the websites of British Naturism and the International Naturist Federation.
