Why did I try waxing? I guess the question before that is, was I happy with my body hair or did I want to join the smooth looking people I’d meet up at various BN and club events? One reason I wanted to be smooth was that I found myself having a number of ECG assessments that resulted in patches of my chest being shaved, I thought it looked very odd, not cool at all, and the only quick solution was to remove all of my chest hair. Then I was cool, well I’m not sure that was possible being a late 40’s guy, but never mind having made the decision it wasn’t too difficult to decide to become smooth from my shoulders to my knees.
Was I brave enough for waxing? Whilst other members of my family aren’t naturists, as my wife and daughters were brave enough to have regular waxing sessions, I thought I ought to be able to cope too. So, with ignorance being my strongest shield, I thought I’d have a go. The next challenge was to find the right person to go to and I saw an advert in the BN magazine that seemed to be worth trying and that’s how I meet up with Philip and started my journey of having a smooth body. Since then, I’ve had treatments from four waxing specialists and I’ve found the sessions to be a good time to chat for an hour or so as they do their work and for most of the time the process causes little pain and no drama.
In some ways I find being smooth to be a part of the uniform of social nudity, though of course there’s no judgement one-way or the other, I felt I’d joined the naturist club when I was smooth.
Over the years I’ve managed my body hair with a mix of both shaving and waxing. In someways shaving is easier because I can do it myself as and when I need to, but the result isn’t as good as being waxed and when I shave, I miss the chat and being the centre of attention for that hour or so that comes with waxing. So, I’ll keep going with a mix of both Now I’m retired I feel I need to wait until I’m owed a treat to be waxed so I’m going three or four times a year, whereas when I was working I could afford go every six weeks or so.
If you’d like to be smooth, I’d recommend giving waxing a go, whilst I’d have to admit that there are moments of pain whilst being waxed in sensitive places, it’s more like a sharp sting and the sensation goes in a moment and somehow, one forgets that in a couple of minutes there’s going to be another sting. The other thing to remember is that waxing treatments are taken by lots of people from all walks of life, its not just a naturist thing to do.
